We walk side by side and say: Stop the wars!
Military investments in small arms or heavy weapons are a source of death and destruction.
Welfare and environmental protection not warfare!
Stop a model of development that exploits people and the nature in the interest of a tiny minority.
All those working in the fields, forests, fisheries, industry, service sector and care work at home and institutions, as well as students and elderly, have common interests to defend.
Both resistance and constructive solutions at local, national or global levels are needed
Celebrate our victories and shared history and cultures.
This model of development breeds violence and wars across the planet.
In our homes against women and people that cannot protect themselves and within our communities.
Wars within our countries and across borders refusing to take account of others’ security interests.
Exploitation of nature Suppressing indigenous and other people’s right to self-determination.
Build solidarity in the resistance against this violence and these wars whwther day are:
Based on gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity, social class or any other division
Triggered with the aid of military, technological and financial systems, the control of natural resources, or the propaganda power of countries or corporations.
Inspiration from the Charter of the World Social Forum and call for debate at WSF in Benin
Equal attention to transform humanity’s relationship with nature as well as between human beings.
Oppose neoliberalism, the domination of the world by capital, and all forms of imperialism.
Place decolonisation, peace, disarmament and self-determination, as well as fruitful relationship with nature – notably the struggle for agroecology and climate justice – as important at the 2026 WSF
Peace with the Earth
We call for the water of our shared planet to be regarded as sacred.
Preserve seeds built on ancestral knowledge and their diversity, which are essential for providing current and future generations with the food needed.
Cultivate food crops and nutritous trees under the stewardship of indigenous and other local communities and protect our forests. Safeguard food sovereignty and agroecology.
Develop technology carried out under democratic control.
Electrification through solar and wind power and decentralise electricity generation
Rural and urban people have to find democratic ways forward for climate justice and environmental protection.
Peace on Earth
Spend less money on armaments and more on diplomatic and non-violent means to solve
conficts.
Stop state-sponsored terror against those who exercise their right to refuse to go to war or
to protest against war non-violently and those exercising their freedom of expression.
Apply the same standards in the defense of human rights and civil liberties for refugees or
citizens in their own or other countries. in wealthy countries or their allies or in less
privileged countries.
Oppose all wars of aggression that violate international law.
Use the UN and regional organisations such as the Organisation of African Unity (OAU) and the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) for peaceful relations based on respect for the security concerns of all nations and on the rejection of any imperialist intervention.
This requires confidence-building measures and arms control.
Non-state actors waging war cannot be stopped by an endless ‘war on terror’.
Dismantle the neo-colonial and racist world order
Put an end to the genocide and colonial destruction of the Palestinian people and elsewhere.
Celebrate 500 years of resistance to occupation by Europe and the settlers, who have imposed a model of development that destroys Mother Earth. Replaced it by a model of civilisation based on a peaceful relationship with nature and amongst all the peoples living on our planet today.
End to wars and conflicts in Europe, a continent that has been the cradle of two world wars as well as of the violent, colonial and neo-colonial exploitation of the rest of the world.
Europe must rethink its relationship with the rest of the world by ceasing to view itself as a superior garden surrounded by a jungle.
Western countries must renounce their unfair trade relations, patent rights that threaten the lives of people in need of medicines and other products, and the recovery of illegitimate debts that are causing economic devastation in many countries of the Global South.
The devastation of rural and urban economies, combined with war and global warming, is driving people to flee to Europe and the US, which are turned into militarized fortresses.
The West has to begin a path towards a non-racist world order, enabling good relations with all the peoples of the Earth.
Global shift of power and support for international institutions for peace
We call for a global shift of power on all continents in order to put an end to militarisation and destruction.
Ceasefires and peace negotiations that enable reconstruction in partnership with local communities, and in particular women, as key partners in preventing the escalation of conflicts, both during the war and within the framework of post-war peace agreements.
Strengthening of cooperation between all independant civil society actors and movements and reform of institutions as a reform of the UN with the Global South as important.
Simultaneous and concerted actions across borders implementing a just rural and urban social and ecological transition defending workers’ and peasants’ rights and the right to health and housing.
Regional peace conferences, based on the principles of common security, economic and environmental cooperation, and respect for human rights for all including migrants, with strong participation from civil society.
Mass destruction of small arms and the abolition of nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction.
Tech monopolies controlling both military, public and private administrations as well as social media platforms, must be regulated democratically whilst supporting innovation.
Together, we are building a movement uniting rural and urban communities to build peace on Earth and peace with Earth.
